Dress Code
Dear Members and Guests,
Chicagoans have always been famous for their keen sense of style, which is something we celebrate! This is why an Astor Club “dress code” is an anathema to us. However, to honor the legacy of our storied past, we kindly ask you to consider the following guidelines:
In Short: Dress to Impress!
ALL DAYS BEFORE 4:00 PM: Business casual for all.
ALL DAYS AFTER 4:00 PM: Cocktail attire for all. Jacket optional for gentlemen.
SATURDAY NIGHTS: Cocktail/Festive attire for ladies. Jacket and tie for gentlemen in the dining room.
NO:
Athletic team sports apparel, sports/running sneakers, or sports caps (unless you just won the World Series!)
Gym clothes or beach wear
Ripped, torn or shredded denim, no blue jeans
Men’s shorts, t-shirts, tanks or hoodies
Open toe footwear or flip-flops for gentlemen
Non-traditional hats/caps or cowboy hats
Visible underwear or overly revealing outfits
Black Tie and event-specific attire on special designated nights. We will adjust for warm summer evenings, as dictated by the ever-changing Chicago weather. We applaud free expression but prefer that it not be emblazoned on your t-shirt, your hat, or another garment. Please refrain from clothing or accessories that display divisive, political, or otherwise offensive sayings or images.
