Judgement of Astor Blind Tasting Competition
50 years ago in late May, a blind tasting of the best French and Californian wines occurred that changed the entire world of wine, now known as the Judgement of Paris. In memory of that event, we will be hosting our first ever blind wine tasting competition here at Astor Club! All experience levels are welcome. Kevin Armistead, our club sommelier, will explain and demonstrate how it all works at the begining. Whether you compete or spectate, it is a fun time to cheer and jeer your family and friends as they try to puzzle out the world of wine with an audience. The winner will recieve a special bottle of wine from one of the original wineries that competed in the 1976 Judgement of Paris tasting (current vintage, though), and bragging rights until the next one.Location: Supper Club - Lounge
