Mia Elliott's Chicagoans are bringing the sounds of the 1920's and 1930's back to the city. Playing rare songs from the past as well as beloved classics, this jazz band has a distinctive style that sets it apart from the rest. Mia Elliott sings from the heart with a technique inspired by the likes of Ruth Etting, Annette Hanshaw, and other powerhouse vocalists who shaped the genre for decades to come. With Andy Schumm on cornet, Natalie Scharf on saxophone, Paul Asaro on piano, and Dave Bock on bass, this group fascinates audiences with hot solos, sweet melodies, and authentic Chicago spirit.
