Playing rare songs from the past as well as beloved classics, this jazz trio has a distinctive style that sets it apart from the rest. Mia Elliott sings from the heart with a technique inspired by the likes of Ruth Etting, Annette Hanshaw, Ella Fitzgerald, and other powerhouse vocalists who shaped the genre for decades to come. With Andy Schumm on piano and Peter Ho on cornet, this group fascinates audiences with hot solos, sweet melodies, and authentic Chicago spirit.
